Updates
2010-12-30 1.1.10
- Changed the way the graphics are stored so now new phones with new screen sizes can work automatically without needing an update to the app.
2010-10-10 1.1.9
- Added support for Samsung Galaxy Tab and other tablets with 1024x600 screen size.
- Improved detection of multitouch support.
2010-09-10 1.1.8
- Improved the detection of phones which work with the multitouch two-player mode.
- Fixed sound not working properly on Samsung Galaxy S phones (also known as AT&T Captivate/Verizon Fascinate/T-Mobile Vibrant/Sprint Epic 4G).
2010-06-11 1.1.7
- Added Evo 4G to the list of phones with working multitouch.
2010-05-28 1.1.6
- Added support for two new Android 2.2 (Froyo) features: the first is the ability to install the game onto your SD card to save space on your phone's internal memory, and the second is support for the new data backup system, so your scores will be automatically restored when you install the game on a new phone, or when you uninstall and then reinstall later on the same phone.
2010-05-21 1.1.5
- Hopefully fixed the bug where the sound cuts out if you trap the puck in the corner. It's been tested on the Nexus One and Droid Incredible, but please let me know if it doesn't work on any other phones.
2010-05-14 1.1.4
- Enabled the multitouch two-player mode on the Verizon Droid Incredible.
- Fixed a bug where multitouch wouldn't work properly when restarting the app when a game was paused.
2010-01-15 1.1.3
- Nexus One: Stopped the multitouch two-player mode from being used, because unfortunately the multitouch support on this phone is only partial and doesn't work properly with Air Hockey.
2009-12-12 1.1.2
- Motorola Droid: Fixed the mallet being the wrong distance away from your finger after the new system update is installed.
2009-11-27 1.1.1
- Made it so that the mallets stay on the screen even when you remove your finger. People have been requesting that feature for a verrrry long time, so let me know if you like it or not.
- Fixed a bug in the multitouch two-player mode on the Motorola Droid.
- Made it so that the multitouch mode is enabled automatically on the Droid without having to test for multitouch support.
- Made the mallet appear a little further ahead of your finger on high resolution screens (like the Droid).
- Disabled the use of a particular graphics technique (VBOs), because many recent phones have a broken graphics driver that stops it from working properly (the sympton was that the table appeared correctly, but the mallets and puck were invisible).
- Fixed the end of game messages not fitting within their boxes on some types of phone.
2009-11-06 1.1.0
- Added experimental support for multitouch two-player on phones that have Android 2.0 and support full multitouch. So far that means the Motorola Droid and Motorola Milestone.
- Added work-around for a problem on several phones that was causing the puck and mallet graphics to be missing (so that just the table was shown). Phones affected were the Motorola CLIQ and DEXT, and the Samsung Moment.
2009-10-12 1.0.10
- Added support for even more phones: specifically those with 240x400 and 240x432 screens, and those that don't support a couple of OpenGL ES extensions that were previously required.
2009-10-02 1.0.9
- Added support for phones with different screen resolutions (240x320, 480x800, 480x854).
- Made the volume buttons change the game sound effects volume instead of the ringer volume.
2009-05-22 1.0.8
- Smoothness improved when sound is enabled.
2009-03-14 1.0.7
- Collision detection and physics improved.
2009-03-06 1.0.6
- Small graphical performance increases which may make the game slightly smoother.
- Several small bugs in the demo have been fixed. Thank you to Brian Langley for reporting them.
2009-02-22 1.0.5
- Increased the starting level to 200 to make the first game for new players more exciting.
2009-02-21 1.0.4
- Fixed a bug that would make the computer-controlled mallet disappear just after starting a game if your phone had been switched on for a long time. Huge thanks to Ryan Heaton for reporting the bug and helping me track down the cause.
2009-02-19 1.0.3
- Fixed a bug where the game would not unpause correctly if it was paused when the phone went into standby mode.
2009-02-19 1.0.2
- Game now remembers guest progress until you return to the player select screen.
- After-match screen now shows if the current level is the player's personal best.
- Improved memory handling to avoid brief delays that could happen during gameplay.
2009-02-18 1.0.1
- Improved performance when sound is enabled.
- Small tweaks to interface screens.
2009-02-13 1.0.0
